Nordkapp (North Cape) Vandrerhjem opens its doors to new guests who love to experience the forces of nature and beautiful
scenery.
Monday the 20th of October, Nordkapp Vandrerhjem, located in Honningsvåg, will be ready to welcome guests from all corners
of the world. HI Norway would like to congratulate the hostel with their grand opening. The hostel was originally planned
to open earlier this year, but due to major renovations the hostel had to postpone the opening. Honningsvåg is the northernmost city in the world and one of many service centres for the fisheries in the North of Norway.
The small city with only 3,300 inhabitants offers exquisite natural scenery and the chance to see Europe’s northernmost viewpoint
at the North Cape Hall, which is located at 71°10’21.

If you visit Honningsvåg at the right time of the year it is also possible to experience the natural wonders of the midnight
sun, the polar nights, northern lights, and solid winter storms.
Nordkapp Vandrerhjem is a very nice and cosy hostel which is going to be open all year. The hostel is equipped with two guest
kitchens in addition to the main kitchen, two common rooms with TVs, dining room, new showers, internet connection, and parking.

Hurtigruten calls by Honningsvåg twice a day every day (one northbound and one southbound departure). There are also coaches to the surrounding areas.
