All participants will be dressed up in warm comfortable floating suits, shoes, caps and gloves, and take part in the process
of fishing the King Crabs. The captain will teach everyone about the King Crab and fishing on deck. Lunch will be served on
board the wessel. |

| The King Crab was planted in the Barents Sea at the coast of Russia in 1970. The population of crabs as grown rapidly, and
since the last 7-8 years we have fished this delicacy in the northern Norwegian fjords. The size of the crabs is from 2.5
- to 8 kg. |

| Well back at Mehamn Vandrerhjem, the King Crabs will be delivered to the restaurant chief at the hostel, and he will prepare
a delicious buffet with King Crabs and other fish dishes. While we are waiting for the dinner to be ready it is possible to rest at the hostel. Mehamn Vandrerhjem offers time in the sauna or a relaxing bath in the outdoor hot tub. |

King Crab fishing in the Barents Sea
Welcome on board Mehamn Vandrerhjem’s traditional fishing vessel "M/S Odd Tore" to an exciting King Crab fishing adventure. The tour starts from the dock at the hostel where we go out to the Barents Sea looking for the King Crab traps.
