Cape Nordkyn is the northernmost point on the European continent and is a characetristic cliff with a wild and extreme arctic

Hiking route to Nordkyn
- We recommend you to use good quality hiking boots.
- The walk takes about 8 hours in rough terrain.
- The hiking route to cape Nordkyn starts from the gateway to Cape Nordkyn at Mehamn Airport. HRH The Crownprincess of Norway,
Mette-Marit, opened the hiking route in 2005.
- The hiking route is marked with stone construction marks all the way to the plateau.
- In case of fog, there is an alternative route along the beach on western side.
- The landscape is totally stone desert wilderness with no infrastructure or buildings.
- You can buy your hiking route map at Mehamn Hostel, which gives you marked lines where to walk to Nordkyn. In the map there
are also GPS positions for the hiking route.
