Stavanger Hostel Mosvangen - The best starting point for day trips to the Pulip Rock (view images) and Kjerag (view images). The old part of Stavanger, which consists of 170 well-preserved 170 houses and building, is one of the city's main attractions. The vibrant city has a background in fishing and canning industry, shipbuilding and, more recently, the oil-industry. The sights include the Stavanger Cathedral, the Iron Age Farm Ullandhaug, Stavanger Archaeological Museum. Stavanger Hostel Mosvangen, is located beautiful in a park and recreation area, next to a lake - Mosvangen, with easy access to the Stavanger region's main attractions. Every summer in June, July and August our staff welcomes about 5 000 guests from around the world. Many of them love to travel inexpensively. We hope you will be one of them! Our hostel is well suitable for groups. Two buildings = a single hostel Stavanger Hostel Mosvangen has expanded its business this year with "new" buildings at Solborg, which is located 300 meters from Mosvangen. Normally these buildings are homes for students during the school year. Solborg has a lovely garden, parking for car and bus and a nice seating area outside. There are three buildings at Solborg called: Nordborg, Øvre Nordborg and Nyborg. All buildings have rooms of various sizes, all with shower and toilet, and each building has a small guest kitchen on each floor where guest may new friends while they prepare their own food. NB! Please note that check-in and breakfast is served at the main entrance at Stavanger Mosvangen Hostel, which is about 300 meters from the building at Solborg. Stavanger Hostel Mosvangen hosts the reception where all guests need to check-in. The building at Mosvangen has a newly renovated living room with a dining room and a guest TV. All guests have free access to Internet. Mosvangen has also two newly renovated guest kitchens and shared shower facilities in the basement with washing machines. Every morning breakfast is served. Mosvangen has in total 20 rooms. The Norwegian Nature experience is not far away! Why not go for a boat trip in Lysefjorden, see the view from the Pulpit Rock or Kjerag. We also recommend a walk around the lake close to the hostel. Welcome to Stavanger! |
