The hostel is beautifully located (altitude: 670 m), with easy access by train to very popular tourist destinations such as Voss, Myrdal and Flåm. Good opportunities for walks, hunting and fishing. The hostel produces its own electricity at its recently restored power station from 1914! This is Norway´s first tailor-made youth hostel, built in 1939. Visitors may also stay at the mountain cabin.
