| The hostel is located at the end of Norway´s longest fjord, the Sognefjord. The area offers different nature and culture attractions. Flåm is also the end of the famous Flåm railway line, one of Norway´s most popular attractions and one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. Very good starting point
for mountain walking and biking in Flåmsdalen, Aurlandsdalen and along the Nærøyfjord. Guided kayak tours on the fjord. Are you interested in culture, we suggest Otternes Bygdetun, The Flåm Railway Documentation Centre, Aurland shoefabric, Njardar Vikings - row a viking boat on the fjord, Gudvangen Vikingmarked, and "the Aurland walk". You can rent bikes at the hostel or buy a fishing permit card to fish for trout in the montain lakes. The hostel does not serve breakfast, but there is a guest kitchen and/or cooking opportunities in the room. There is a 5 minute walking distance to the grocery store, kafeterias and restaurants. |
