The Eco-Lighthouse Foundation is a national environmental certification in Norway for private and public enterprises, which help the enterprises to conduct
profitable and environmental-friendly operations. It is a program that looks into the internal and external environment of
business.
The certification must be profitable for the company's finances, for the employees' health, the corporate community and the
global environment. It is valuable to be environmentally friendly.
To become an Eco-Lighthouse certificate enterprises have to go through an environmental analysis. If they meet the defined
requirements they will obtain the certification. The Eco-Lighthouse Foundation is supported and recommended by the Ministry of Environment.
