Kongsberg was built on silver mining. Attractions: The Norwegian Mining Museum where you can join a guided tour by train into the "King´s Mine", the Royal Coin Museum and Kongsberg Church (Norway´s largest), Labro Vassdragsmuseum (river course museum) which shows the history of the Numedalslågen river, Kongsberg arms factory museum and 18-hole golf
course nearby. Kongsberg is one of Norway´s best winter sports centres, and the town hosts a ski museum. All rooms with shower/WC and TV.
