Geilo is located on the Bergensbanen railway, and thus has excellent train and bus connections in both eastern and western directions. The hostel is located about 2 kilometres from the railway and bus station. Hallingbussen drives between Geilo and Oslo. Sogn- og Fjordane Ekspressen drives from Geilo via Gol where you need to change bus and to Sogndal and Florø. There is also a bus to Eidfjord, Bruravik and Odda, please check the timetable here.

By car, follow Rv 7 or Rv 40, they both lead straight to the center of town. Geilo is located the half way between Oslo and Bergen. You will find Geilo Vandrerhjem located in Øen Tursisenter just outside the city centre. You can see the hostel from the road Rv 7. You can also get to Geilo on Rv 50 from West to East on the road between Aurland and Hol. Then you need to drive 10 kilometres from Hol to Geilo. From Geilo, Rv 40 goes through Numedal valley to Kongsberg, Larvik, Sandefjord and Tønsberg. If you arrive by ferry from Denmark to Larvik, this is the fastest road to Geilo.
