HI Norway present this years Ski- and Snowboard destinations:Hovden Hostel, Gaustatoppen Hostel, Kongsberg Hostel, Uvdal Hostel, Lillehammer Hostel, Geilo Hostel, Dombås Hostel, Oslo Hostel Haraldsheim, Røros Hostel and Voss Hostel.

HovdenHovden is located in Setesdalen Valley and is the largest skiing destination of southern Norway. The alpine center offers
25,5 kilometres of descent, two 4-seat express lifts, 4 ski tows, a 2-seat lift and a vertical drop of 374 metres. There is
also a terrain park and the center is a nice place for the entire family. The destination also offers you 160 kilometres of
world-class cross-country trails.
Besides great skiing opportunities Hovden offers a water park with spa and indoor- and outdoor swimmingpool, dog sledging, Hovden Iron Production Museum, great nature experiences and much more.
Located just north of the town centre you will find Hovden Hostel. The skiing trails start just outside the hostel door and the ski bus takes you to the slopes. The hostel is a modern hostel
with great standard. There is 45 rooms and 150 beds in the hostel. Showers and toilets located in the hallway.

Gaustatoppen
Gaustablikk Ski Resort is located about 15 km from Rjukan and at the foot of Gaustatoppen (1 883 m.a.s.l.), which is the highest
mountain in the Southern part of Norway. The ski resort offers 12 lifts - 2 are chair lifts and more than 30 km of descent
of different lengths and difficult levels. Several of the slopes are floodlit and are open for night skiing. Gaustablikk has
also a terrain park, ski school and ski rental. About 100 km of prepared cross country trails are available, suitable for
all levels - from beginners to more advance and experts skiers.
Gaustatoppen Hostel is a great starting point for alpine sport. The hostel is located across the road from the ski resort and the cross country
trails start just outside the hostel door. The weather conditions make Gaustatoppen a great place for skiing. Usually, the
season starts early, by the end of October and continues to the end of April.

KongsbergKongsberg is one of the large skiing destinations located in a short distance to Oslo. The ski destination is a bit smaller
than the bigger ski destinations in Norway, but offers slopes for all levels. The center offers a total of 10 kilometres of
decent, 4 different lifts and a child lift. The vertical drop is 330 meter. Furthermore, the ski centre has a terrain park,
freestyle arena, ski cross or boarder cross, super pipe, big jumps, rails and a well prepared half pipe.
Beside the alpine slopes the Kongsberg area can offer different activities and attractions, such as The Norwegian Mining Museum and Kongsberg Ski Museum.
Kongsberg Hostel is located in the city centre about 3 kilometres from the alpine slopes. All rooms include wc, shower and free wireless Internet.
Bed linen and towels and breakfast are included in the price. There is free parking and the hostel has a reputation because
of its great food and service. The hostel has a total capacity of 25 rooms and 95 beds.

UvdalUvdal Alpine Centre is located in Nore and Uvdal municipality in Numedal Valley. The centre has 20 different slopes and 22
kilometres of decent. It is well facilitated for all skill levels and has 4 different lifts. The vertical drop is 620 metres.
Dagalifjell offers 12 trails with a total of 90 kilometres well prepared cross-country trails.
The area also offers other exciting activities and attractions such as Uvdal Stave Church and Langedrag Nature Park. HRH the Crown Prince and HRH the Crown Princess of Norway and their family are sometimes spending time in the Uvdal area
in their newly built cabin.
Uvdal Hostel is located in an old, well-preserved building from 1905 and has a total capacity of 44 beds. The hostel is open for everybody
during Easter and from May to September, the rest of the year the hostel will be open on request only.

LillehammerIn the Lillehammer area you will find 4 different ski destinations; Hafjell, Kvitfjell, Skeikampen and Sjusjøen. There are
also slopes for all ages and levels. Hafjell offers 31 different slopes and 15 lifts, including a gondola, with a vertical
drop of 835 metres. Hafjell is the 3rd biggest ski resort in Norway, and the number one for those who prefer twin tip skiing
or snowboarding. The centre is also very well suited for children. Sjusjøen, Nordseter and Øyer offer 350 kilometres with
cross-country tracks.
Beside fantastic skiing experiences the Lillehammer area has a lot to offer visitors. The town has a world famous pedestrian
street, different museums, Olympic arenas and excellent nightlife. The town is also surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Lillehammer Hostel is located on the railway station in the town centre. The hostel is in walking distance to all attractions in the town, and
the ski bus will take you to Hafjell within 20 minutes. The hostel gives you modern facilities, all rooms with private bathroom
and breakfast included in the price. The hostel has 29 rooms and 76 beds.

GeiloGeilo is a classical ski destination and at Geilo you will experience great skiing activities, such as 40 alpine slopes, 20
different lifts and a vertical drop of 275 metres. You will also find slopes for all levels. The ski centre is perfect for
children, with many different activities. There are also 3 terrain parks, 220 kilometres of prepared cross-country trails
and excellent kite conditions at Geilo. Geilo also has a lot of other activities and attractions to offer visitors. For instance, visitors may visit the stave church,
different museums or go sightseeing in Hardangervidda National park.
Geilo Hostel is located approximately 2 kilometres from the town centre and the hostel offers cabins and rooms. Breakfast is included
in the price. The cross country trails are located just outside the door and it is easy access to the alpine slopes.

DombåsThere are 2 different lifts in Dombås Ski Center. The slopes are great for all levels of difficulty. The longest slope is
2 700 meters and the vertical drop is 350 metres. There is also a half pipe area and a ski park for children. The area also
offers 135 kilometres of well prepared cross-country trails.
Besides skiing activities there are many things to do in the Dombås area, such as Dombås Nationalpark Centre, Dovre War Memorial
Collection or Muskox safari in the Dovre Mountains.
Dombås Hostel is located at the foot of the alpine ski resort and you will find skiing tracks just outside the hostel door. The hostel
has 13 rooms and all rooms are with private bathroom. The hostel building is made by wood and the rooms are large and light
with a fantastic view of the valley and the surrounding mountains.

Oslo
Oslo is the only capital city in Europe that offers great skiing only minutes from downtown center by public transportation.
In Oslo you may combine a city break with a winter sport holiday! And you will find a vibrant nightlife, exciting museums
and attractions, shopping, good restaurants - and ski slopes, cross country trails or alpine decent in the immediate vicinity!
Oslo Hostel Haraldsheim is located only 5 minutes from Oslo's most important ski resort - Oslo Ski Center/Grefsen. The ski
center offers 4 lifts and slopes for beginners, experts and those in between. There is also ski- and snowboard school, ski
rental, sledding and cross country tracks. There is 2 cafeterias available as well.
Oslo Winter Park, Tryvann is located only 20 minutes from Oslo Center. The driving time from Oslo Hostel Haraldshiem is about
the same. The winter park has slopes suitable for snowboarding and alpine skiing, including jumps and tails. The slopes are
suitable for all skills. In total there is 14 decent and 7 lifts. Tryvann offers ski schools, ski rental and much more! Oslo's
ski slopes are usually open from December through to Easter and the flood until late evening.
Oslo Hostel Haraldsheim is located 4 km from downtown center Oslo, in safe and attractive surroundings with a splendid view of the city and the fjord.
The hostel is an ideal starting point for Oslo's sights. The hostel has 1-4 bedded rooms, many with and without private wc
/ toilette. Breakfast buffet is included in the price.

Røros
A visit to Røros can easily be combined with alpine sports! In a short distance from Røros are Hummelfjell and Ålen Ski Centre.
Hummelfjell located 20 km from Røros. Hummelfjell is a resort with different difficulty levels with descents suitable for
beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers / snowboarders. The ski center offers dining services in connection with the resort.
Ålen Ski Center is located 32 km from Røros. The ski center offers a facility with a variety and challenge for most skiers.
There is a lift for children, dining facilities, ski rental and a starting point for prepared cross country trails. At Ålen
there are 5 prepared descents of different levels. The longest run is about 3.5 km. The height difference is 336 meters. It
is also possible for off-pistes trails.
Røros Hostel is a small, family-friendly accommodation in the mining town of Røros. Røros is one of Europe most preserved wooden towns,
which entered on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1980. Røros is, with its history of mining the time and beautiful sights,
a place well worth visiting.

VossVoss has 2 different ski centres: Voss Resort Bavallen offers 12 lifts and 18 different slopes. The resort offers different
activities for the entire family and 1 of 4 Big Air bags in Norway. There is also a gondola close to Voss city centre which
takes to the slopes. Voss Fjellandsby Myrkdalen is located 25 kilometres from the city centre and the ski resort is one of
the alpine resorts in Norway with the most snow. You will find 11 slopes well suited for the entire family. During weekends
there is a free ski bus from Voss city centre which takes you to Myrkdalen.
Voss is an Eldorado if you are interested in sports, and can offer a huge amount of activities besides ski, such as parachute
jumping, paragliding and curling. Voss also offers 20 kilometres of prepared cross country trails.
Voss Hostel is situated close to the idyllic Vangsvatnet just outside the town centre. From the hostel there is a free ski bus to Voss
Resort. The hostel has 40 rooms and a total of 196 beds. All rooms are with private bathrooms. Breakfast is included in the
price.
